Installation

9.4 Fitting the hob

• Insert the hob into the worktop cut-out,
so that it rests with the seal on the worktop.
Note: The hob is stabilized by its own weight.
Additional mounting accessories such as installation brackets
are not required and are therefore not included in the delivery.
After installation, the connection cable and the
underside of the hob must no longer be accessible.
Installation of heat protection below the hob
If the hob is installed above a drawer, furniture compartment
or similar, or if the hob is accessible from below:
• Install a protective plate of heat-resistant material
at a minimum distance of at least 50 mm below the hob
(see illustration).
• When using adhesive, make sure that the temperature
resistance is 150°C.

9.5 Connecting the hob to the mains

• The power cord plug may only be connected to a properly installed
and grounded power outlet.
• The mains voltage indicated on the rating plate must correspond
to that of your home.
• Do not use adapters, multiple sockets or extension cords.
Overloading can lead to a fire hazard.
• The cable must not be bent or pinched.
• The cable must be checked regularly.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified
electrician using suitable tools to avoid any danger.
