Safety instructions
Danger of scalding!
• When opening the appliance door, hot
steam may escape. Depending on the
temperature, steam may not be visible.
When opening, do not stand too close
to the appliance, keep children away
and open the appliance door carefully.
• Water can produce hot steam in the
hot cooking chamber. Never pour wa-
ter into the hot cooking chamber.
Risk of fire!
• When heating food in plastic or paper
containers, keep an eye on the appli-
ance, as these could ignite or deform
at high temperatures.
• Never store flammable objects in the
cooking chamber. They can catch fire
inside.
• Never open the appliance door if there
is smoke inside. Switch off the appli-
ance and disconnect the mains plug
or turn off the circuit breaker in the
fuse box and keep the door closed to
smother any flames.
Have the appliance checked by a certi-
fied electrician before using it again.
• There is a draft when the appliance
door is opened.
Do not place baking paper loosely over
accessories
as this may cause it to come into con-
tact with heated surfaces and catch
fire. Always load it with a tray, baking
dish or similar and make sure that it
does not protrude.
Microwave hazard!
• Do not attempt to operate the micro-
wave with the door open as this may
result in harmful microwave exposure.
Be careful not to damage or tamper
with the safety interlocks.
• Do not place anything between the
front of the appliance and the door and
always ensure that the sealing surfac-
es are in clean condition.
• If the door or door seal is damaged, do
not operate the appliance until it has
been repaired by a suitably qualified
professional.
• It is dangerous for unqualified persons
to carry out maintenance or repair
work, especially if a cover protecting
against microwaves is removed.
Never make any changes to the appli-
ance yourself.
• When operating the microwave func-
tion, only use dishes and utensils that
are suitable for use in microwave ov-
ens (see corresponding sections).
• To avoid hazards and damage caused
by unsuitable metal objects, do not use
any utensils containing metal during
microwave operation, except for the
cooking grate provided, following the
corresponding instructions, or an even-
ly shaped spoon to avoid boiling delay
when heating liquids (see following
note in this section).
Keep an eye on the cooking process.
Should sparking or arcing occur dur-
ing operation, switch off the appliance
immediately.
