Dachhimmel demontieren und Sitze herausnehmen. Fußboden und Armaturenbrett abdecken.

Dismounting the vehicle's roof and the seats, covering the floor and the dashboard.

At vehicles with an original sidewall cladding all parts above the window have to be removed.
◼
Cover the vehicle from its upper section of the windows outside, so that no metal filings can damage the
varnish.

Do the same on the inside
◼
Extract the cable from the cut-out section.
2 Dachausschnitt / Roof cut-out

Den Dachausschnitt entsprechend der Zeichnung (s. Abb. 2-1) am Fahrzeug markieren und anschließend
prüfen
Vorsicht: Schutzbrille und Arbeitshandschuhe tragen. Beim Ausschneiden auf die Kabel in den hinteren
Fahrzeugecken achten.
◼
An den Ecken jeweils eine 10 mm Bohrung anbringen. Diese dienen als Eintauchpunkte für die Stichsäge und
als Radius. Der Dachausschnitt darf nur abgerundete Ecken enthalten.
◼
Das Dachblech entlang der Markierung aussägen. Es empfiehlt sich, von den Ecken aus quer zur
Fahrzeugmitte hin zu starten. Anschließend die Längsschnitte ausführen. Die Ecken des Dachblechs mit Latten
abstützen.
◼
Mit einer Hilfsperson das Dachblech herunternehmen.
◼
Die Schnittkanten entgraten und mit Rostschutzmittel behandeln.
◼
Die Schall-Dämmmatte vom Fahrerhausdach entfernen (falls notwendig vollständig). Oberfläche reinigen.
(Tipp: Mit Fön erwärmen und mit Kunststoffschaber abtrennen)

As per attached subscription (see Abb. 2-1) mark the measures on the vehicle roof and recheck it.
Beware: Wear the safety goggles and the work gloves. While cutting, pay attention to the cables at the rear
corners.
◼
Drill a 10mm hole at each corner for the dip in of the jig saw and as radius measure. No corners may arise.
◼
Saw out the sheet metal roof along the marked line. The easiest way to do that is to start by sawing from the
corners to the middle and afterwards lengthwise. If the corner has been sawed, support the sawed sheet metal
by battens.
◼
Raise the complete sawed metal sheet roof from the vehicle in twos.
◼
Deburr the cutting edges with a file and apply corrosion protective material.
◼
Remove the bitumen insolation material below the vehicle's sheet metal/ driver's cabin (if necessary completely)
and spring-clean the surface.
(Tip: The easiest way is to heat it with a dryer and strip it with a plastic spatula.)
