5 Montage des Frontspoilers / Mounting of the front spoiler

Frontspoiler auf das Fahrzeug legen und Maßhaltigkeit prüfen. Falls notwendig, Dach mit Feile, Fräser oder
Winkelschleifer bearbeiten, sodass es vollflächig aufliegt
◼
Spoiler symmetrisch zu Fahrzeug und Schlachdach ausrichten und die Position auf dem Fahrzeug markieren
◼
Spoiler vom Dach nehmen
◼
Zur Vorbereitung der Klebeflächen mit einem Winkelschleifer (Gummi-Schleifteller und Schleifpapier) die
Innenseite des Frontspoilers bis ca. 50 mm oberhalb der Kante anschleifen
◼
Rand des Spoilers (Auflagefläche) mit Schleiffließ anrauen
◼
Fahrzeuglack vorsichtig etwa 60 mm breit im Auflagebereich mit Schleiffließ anrauen
◼
Roststellen müssen entfernt und neu lackiert werden, um größere Blechschäden zu verhindern (Rost führt zur
Ablösung des Sikaflex

Fahrzeug von Staub befreien und Klebeflächen reinigen und mit Sika
◼

522 auf der Vorderkante des Spoilers sowie in dessen Ecken auftragen
◼
Spoiler am Fahrzeug anbringen und mit Klebeband fixieren (gewaltsames Fixieren kann zu Rissbildung führen)

Überschüssiges Sikaflex

Dichtnaht mit Sikaflex
◼
Nahtbereich (mind. 3 mm Abstand zum Spoiler) abkleben empfohlen (da die Naht im Sichtbereich liegt)

Anschließend die Naht mit einem Fugenglätter in Kombination mit Sika
fenlauge glattziehen

Klebeband nach dem Klebstoffauftrag sofort abnehmen

Put the front spoiler at the vehicle and check its accuracy. If applicable grind the roof with a file, milling or angle
grinder until it sits up all around well-set and evenly
◼
Adjust the spoiler symmetrical to vehicle and roof and mark the correct position
◼
Take the front spoiler from the vehicle and put it on the bottom upside down
◼
For preparation of the gluing area you should grind with an angle grinder (with rubber backing pad and abrasive
paper) the interior side of the part until approx. 50 mm above the edge (use safety goggles and dust mask)
◼
Roughen the outer gluing area slightly with a non-woven web
◼
You should also roughen the varnish at the gluing area approx.60 mm wide carefully with the non-woven web.
◼
Possible existing patches of rust must be removed carefully and repainted, to avoid bigger damages later.

Carefully remove the dust from the vehicle and the front-part.

Clean and activate all gluing areas carefully with Sika
◼
Then put thick adhesive Sikaflex points at the adhesive area of the front spoiler above the windscreen.

Deposit the front spoiler into the adhesive area and secure it carefully with adhesive tape. It may not be
tensioned forcibly otherwise tension cracks are inevitable
◼
Remove overflowing Sikaflex immediately. Leave the vehicle overnight
◼
Grout outside with
Sikaflex
◼
Masking (min. 3 mm distance to the spoiler) of the seam area is recommended (visible area)
◼
If you are ready with the filling at the outside, draw the mass sleekly
◼
Smooth the seams with a joint smoother and Sika Tooling Agent N or soapy water
◼
Detract the cover band after the gluing immediately and rod the edges carefully
