Intended use
The four channel radio receiver is used to switch electrical loads via
radio transmission. The transmitters must support the steute
Wireless protocol.
Option status memory
After power-on with the receivers with status memory
RF Rx SW868/ 915/917/922-4S-S, the last valid status of the outputs
is re-established.
Mounting and wiring
The wireless range depends heavily on the local conditions. Conductive
materials may strongly affect the radio signal. This also includes thin
foils, e.g. aluminium laminations on insulation materials.
Antenna
Use suitable antennas only:

SW868/922
Antenna with cable and SMA

SW915/917
Antenna with cable and SMA
plug-in connector
Mount the antenna on a metal plate. The metal plate serves as an
HF counterweight. Minimum size of metal plate: 250 x 250 mm. Note
minimum sideways distance to nearest wall or disturbance source:
>300 mm. Do not bend or clamp the cable. Minimum bending range of
cable: >25 mm.

Design of wireless range
The radio signal is attenuated on the way from the transmitter to the
receiver. In addition, the radio signal is influenced by obstacles. The
degree of attenuation depends on the material of the obstacle. The fol-
lowing tables serve as a guide.

To get the maximum range: use the specified antennas. With other an-
tennas, the maximum range may differ.
Safety
Do not use the device in connection with other devices whose direct or
indirect purpose is to ensure life or health, or whose operation may
pose a threat to humans, animals or material assets.
N.B.
Subject to technical modifications. Reconstruction and alterations to
the device are not allowed. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer
of a plant or machine to guarantee the correct general function.
Start-up
Requirements:
- Mount device on standard DIN rail.
- Connect cable for supply voltage 24 VDC.
- A maximum of 40 transmitters can be taught in parallelly.
- The green LED indicates operational readiness.
The orange LED indicates the state of the output:
Off - Transmitter taught in, but inactive
On - Transmitter taught in, active
LED 1 flashes - No transmitter taught in
Select operation mode
There are nine different operation modes (see table). The relay func-
tions can be combined with the switching functions.
1. Keep the push-button LRN pressed and switch on the supply volt-
age, the operation mode changes every 5 s. For display of the LEDs,
see table. If LRN is not actuated within 5 s, it is switched to a
different operation mode.
2. If the desired operation mode is displayed, press the push-button
LRN for 1 s. The desired operation mode is now activated.
