Use of the mounting and wiring instructions
All actions described in these instructions may only be performed by
qualified persons who have been trained and authorised by the
operating company.
1. Read and understand these mounting and wiring instructions.
2. Comply with the valid occupational safety and accident prevention
regulations.
3. Install and operate the device.
Selection and installation of devices and their integration in control
systems demand qualified knowledge of all the relevant laws, as well
as the normative requirements of the machine manufacturer. In case
of doubt, the German language version of these instructions shall
prevail.
Scope of delivery
Device, mounting and wiring instructions, carton.
Intended use
The two-channel radio receiver is used for switching electrical loads
by means of radio transmission. The transmitters must support the
steute Wireless protocol.
Mounting and wiring
The wireless range depends heavily on the local conditions. Conductive
materials may strongly affect the radio signal. This also includes thin
foils, e.g. aluminium laminations on insulation materials.
Antenna
Use suitable antennas only:
Device
Antenna
SW868/922
Antenna with cable and SMA
plug-in connector
SW915/917
Antenna with cable and SMA

Mount the antenna on a metal plate. The metal plate serves as an
HF counterweight. Minimum size of metal plate: 250 x 250 mm. Note
minimum sideways distance to nearest wall or disturbance source:
>300 mm. Do not bend or clamp the cable. Minimum bending range of
cable: >25 mm.

Design of wireless range
The radio signal is attenuated on the way from the transmitter to the
receiver. In addition, the radio signal is influenced by obstacles. The
degree of attenuation depends on the material of the obstacle. The fol-
lowing tables serve as a guide.
Penetration of radio signals:
Material
wood, gypsum, glas uncoated
brick stone, press boards
armoured concrete
metal, aluminium lamination, water
Typical ranges:

To get the maximum range: use the specified antennas. With other an-
tennas, the maximum range may differ.
Safety
Do not use the device in connection with other devices whose direct or
indirect purpose is to ensure life or health, or whose operation may
pose a threat to humans, animals or material assets.
N.B.
Subject to technical modifications. Reconstruction and alterations to
the device are not allowed. It is the responsibility of the manufacturer
of a plant or machine to guarantee the correct general function.
Start-up
A maximum of 10 transmitters per channel can be taught in parallelly.
The LEDs show the operating states. After providing the operating
voltage to the receiver, the orange LED 1 flashes when no transmit-
ter has been taught in. If the orange LED 1 is off, transmitters have
already been taught in.
Select operation mode
After switch-on, there are six different operation modes that can be
selected. To select an operation mode: while switching on the receiver,
keep push-button S1 pressed. To confirm the selected operation mode:
