dling of the bicycle trailer, observe
the associated
instructions for the trailer.
Conditions for the use of trailers
• Max. towing capacity of 40 kg for FLYER
e-bikes with permissible total weight of
140 or 150 kg.
• Max. towing capacity of 60 kg for FLYER
e-bikes with permissible total weight of 180 kg.
• The support load must be between a min-
imum of 2 kg and a maximum of 8 kg.
• Only permitted for e-bikes with hydraulic
brakes.
• Only permitted for e-mountain bikes with
an aluminum chainstay.
• In Germany, S-pedelecs are not permit-
ted to be used as towing vehicles. Inquire
about the regulations in your country.
• Clamping a bicycle trailer to frame tubes
or components (seat post, rack, etc.) is
generally not permitted.
• Children under the age of 16 are not
legally allowed to drive a trailer truck.
Important: Note that the range of

use for e-mountain bikes and cross-
overs changes or is reduced to use
category 2 when used as a towing
vehicle for a bicycle trailer (see
chapter 3.3 "Areas of application").
Note the following points for using a trailer
with your e-bike:
• Ask your FLYER specialist dealer if you
are unsure whether you are allowed to
use a trailer with your e-bike and which
specifications apply.
Important: The legal requirements

for the use of trailers vary from coun-
try to country. Find out about the pro-
visions of their national legislation.
• If necessary, ask your FLYER specialist
dealer for advice on a suitable bicycle
trailer for your e-bike.
• Only use the original system from the
trailer manufacturer to attach to the
e-bike.

• Have the coupling system mounted and
checked by your FLYER specialist dealer.
The FLYER specialist dealer will instruct
you in the handling and operation of the
trailer combination.
Important: Note that trailer opera-
i
tion leads to increased wear and
tear on your e-bike.
• Practice cycling with the trailer initially
to familiarize yourself with the e-bike's
changed handling characteristics.
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
If you are distracted while cycling or
impaired in the handling of your e-bike
by the use of the trailer or by the load
transported in it (e.g. children), acci-
dents and serious injuries may result.
• Calculate the additional weight of
the trailer and the cargo transported
in it: This weight changes the han-
dling characteristics of the e-bike
and increases the braking distance.
• Make sure that pieces of luggage or
passengers cannot get caught in
moving parts of the e-bike or the
trailer.
NOTE! Risk of damage!
If you use a bicycle trailer with an e-bike
that is not suitable for it, damage to the
e-bike may result.
• Only use bicycle trailers with e-bikes
approved for this purpose.
• Observe the information on the max-
imum trailer and drawbar load for
your e-bike (see model-specific infor-
mation in the applicable Technical Data
document).
