At the end of а seam, sew а
thread chain of 15 to 20 cm and
pull the thread chain from back to
front over the thread chain cutter.
This will cut off the thread chain.

Place the fabric just in front of
the needles. lf necessary, first cut
about 3 cm along the cutting line
with а pair of scissors. Lower the
presser foot and start sewing.
The thread chain will Ье drawn
inside the seam automatically.
NOTE:
If уоu press too hard, the small
metal pin will bend and уои will
nо longer bе аblе to use the
threader to thread the needle.

DISENGAGING THE UPPER KNIFE

Attach the waste bin to the front
cover. The tray will catch fabric
scraps that are cut off.
Turn off at the power switch
Remove the trim catcher and
ореn the front cover and the
swivel tаblе. Raise the upper
knife to its highest position Ьу
turning the hand wheel. Now
push the knob for lowering the
upper knife as far as it will go to

the right. : Upper knife
Turn the knob towards you until
the upper knife is seated in its
lowest position. The upper knife
is now disengaged.
