Primary mains switch
The electrostatic unit and amplifier module cannot work
without mains voltage. For this reason the TCI 1 A and
TCI 2 A feature a mains socket and a mains switch.
The mains switch is an isolation switch, i.e. when you
switch off, all electrical sub-assemblies in the speaker
are permanently disconnected from mains voltage.
   

/ Automatic loudspeaker
power-on circuit
The speaker's amplifier unit is fitted with an automatic
power-on circuit which responds to the input signal or a
control voltage; it can also be left on permanently.
CTRL AUTO
The amplifier unit remains constantly
switched on independently of CTRL switch
position. This setting is suitable for use with
a switched mains socket, which is used to
turn the whole Hi-Fi system on and off


together.
CTRL AUTO The amplifier unit remains switched on as
long as a control voltage is present at the
control voltage input CTRL or at the control
wire of the XLR socket (see Control voltage

Signal inputs

XLR (4-pin)
The loudspeaker can be connected directly to
the pre-amplifier via this input. Since the
signal transfer is symmetrical, possible stray
fields in the signal cable are completely
eliminated.

Cinch
If the pre-amplifier you wish to use does not
feature an XLR output, the speaker can be
fed the pre-amplifier's output signal directly
via this socket.
   
Control voltage input
The amplifier unit and the valve output stage remain
for
switched on as long as a voltage of +5 ... +15 V is
present at the CTRL input.

voltage is present.

The amplifier unit and the valve output stage remain
switched on as long as a voltage of +5 ... +15 V is
