FILL IN RINSING SALT

Note: If your model does not have a salt container, you can skip this section.
Always use salt suitable for dishwashers. The salt container is located under the
basket and should be filled as follows:
• Only use a salt that is suitable for dishwashers!
Any type of salt not specifically designed for use in dishwashers, especially
table salt, can damage the water softener. If damage is caused by the use of
unsuitable salt, the manufacturer is not liable for any damage and there is no
warranty claim.
• Only fill the container with salt directly before using the dishwasher. This
prevents grains of salt that have been accidentally spilled or salt water from
remaining on the bottom of the dishwasher for a long period of time, which
can cause corrosion.
This is how you fill in rinsing salt:
1. Remove the basket and unscrew the lid. Remove the lid from the salt
container.
2. Fill the salt container with 1 litre of water before using the dishwasher for the
first time.
3. Insert the end of the funnel supplied into the hole and pour in about 0.13 kg
of salt. It is normal for some water to leak out of the salt container.
4. After you have filled the salt, screw the lid back onto the container in a
clockwise direction.
5. The salt warning light usually goes out 2-6 days after the salt container has
been filled with salt.
6. Immediately after adding the dishwashing salt, the dishwasher should be
started (the use of a quick programme is recommended). Otherwise, the
filter system, the pump or other important dishwasher components may
be damaged by salt water. Should this be the case, it is not covered by the
warranty.
