8. Basic functions
8.4 Measurement of body size
People between 70 cm and 1.09 m tall:
Unfold the extension arm of the length gauge. Position the patient in the center of
the scale. Then slowly push the unfolded length measuring rod down until the ex-
tension arm rests on the head of the person to be measured. The attached scale
can now be used to read off the body height in cm.

8.5 BMI function

The person steps on the scale while the Zero flag is displayed.
The weight is displayed.
Press the BMI key. The messages „BMI" and „CM" appear on the display and a de-
fault value of 170.0 cm (i.e. 170.0) flashes.
The height value is adjusted with the UP/DOWN (ARROW UP/ARROW DOWN)
keys. Each time the key is pressed, the value changes by 0.5 cm. If you keep the
key pressed, the respective values are continuously increased or decreased.
Pressing ENTER switches to the BMI value.
When ENTER is pressed, the value is accepted. The BMI value appears on the dis-
play. Press CLEAR to return to the weighing mode. This will turn off the BMI func-
tion.
