4. General notes
4.4 Safety instructions
The scale is not explosion-proof and must not be used in critical or potentially
f
explosive atmospheres.
When using electrical components under increased safety requirements, the
f
corresponding regulations must be observed.
Electrical connection conditions must match the values printed on the power
f
supply unit.
The scale is designed for operation in buildings. Observe the permissible ambi-
f
ent conditions for operation (see Technical data). The scale meets the require-
ments for electromagnetic compatibility. Exceeding the maximum values speci-
fied in the standards must be avoided.
The scale must be set up in such a way that disconnection from the mains can
f
be easily accomplished at any time. The accessibility of the socket should be
ensured at all times.
When moving the scale, lift the scale. The scale must never be be pushed.

Then check the leveling and adjust it to the new situation if necessary.
The scale is a measuring instrument. Drafts, vibrations, rapid temperature ch-
f
anges and solar radiation can affect the weighing result. High humidity, vapors,
aggressive liquids and heavy soiling must be avoided.
This device is interference suppressed in accordance with the applicable EC di-
f
rective. However, under extreme electrostatic and electromagnetic influences,
e.g. when operating a radio or cell phone in the immediate vicinity of the device,
the display value may be affected. After the interference has ceased, the pro-
duct can be used again as intended; if necessary, it must be switched on again.

4.5 Cleaning

Before each cleaning, the scale must be disconnected from the power supply. The
device may only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Under no circumstances may water
penetrate the device. Disinfectant may only be used on the membrane keypad of
the display.
Clean the scale as required with a household cleaner or commercially available di-
sinfectant. Spraying the device and the connector plug is not permitted.
The metrological control was carried out during the production by the initial verifi-
cation carried out. Further regular metrological checks (recalibration) must be car-
ried out by the responsible verification authorities in accordance with the respecti-
ve national regulations.
