8. Basic functions
8.1 Switching on the scale
With the scale unloaded, press the ON/OFF key. All symbols and digits first appe-
ar on the display. Then „00.0" appears in the display.
The scale is now ready for weighing.
8.2 Weighing
Ask the patient to step on the scale carefully.
The weight appears automatically after the scale is loaded.
When weighing, both legs of the patient must be on the weighing platform of the
scale.
8.3 Zeros
Press the ZERO key to correct small deviations from the zero point, e.g. due to
contamination of the scale.
8.4 Measurement of body size
People between 1.09 m and 2.00 m tall:
Unfold the extension arm of the length gauge and carefully push it upwards. Posi-
tion the patient in the center of the scale. Then slowly push the unfolded length
measuring rod down again until the extension arm rests on the head of the person
to be measured. The attached scale can now be used to read off the body height
in cm.
