Green Star™ - The Health Juicer

Cleaning

Since the Green Star™ Health Juicer
extracts minerals so well, and some of
them always remain on the twin gears,
we recommend always cleaning the juicer
immediately after every use to prevent
mineral salts from hardening and causing
problems.
Make sure that the machine is switched off and
disconnect the power plug. Store the cord in
the cord storage compartment.
Disassemble the juicer as described in this
manual and rinse the parts under running
warm – not hot – water. Remove the remain-
ing pulp using the provided brush.
Green Star™ parts are
not dishwasher safe!
When you have used one of the screen insets,
scrub the screen under running water – first
the inside, then outside.
Only use a damp cloth to clean the motor hou-
sing. Under no circumstances should you allow
water to enter the motor housing. You can use
a toothpick to push food residues through the
pulp discharge casing. When you are done, dry
the individual parts as well as possible.
Important: Do not drop any of the compo-
nents, especially the twin gears, as they are
very expensive. Our warranty does not cover
damage resulting from parts being dropped.
Proper cleaning extends the life of your appli-
ance.
Removing calcium and
mineral deposits from the
stainless steel twin gears:
Juice some carrots then fill some of the pulp
into the feeding chute (9) while adding some
sugar. Alternately add sugar and pulp a few
times; when you are done, clean the machine.
You will see that your twin gears look nice
again and shine like on the first day. You only
need to go through this process occasionally
– just when the twin gears (6) begin to look
dull and unattractive.
Alternative: immerse the twin gears in a 25-
50% white wine vinegar solution.
Removing carrot stains and
other colour pigments
You can remove the colour pigments from car-
rots, rootbeets, or similar food by rubbing the
parts with cooking fat or oil, or simply proces-
sing fatty products likes nuts or almonds.
