Operation
WARNING
Health hazard!
The defrost water can contain harm-
ful bacteria, especially with meat and
poultry.
■ Avoid any physical contact.
■ Pour away the defrost water. Do not
use it for any other purpose.
■ Please ensure to thoroughly clean the
crockery you have used.
• Ideally, use food which has been frozen
at –18 °C in portions that are as thin as
possible.
• Remove all packaging and weigh the
dish. The weight is required to ensure the
correct settings.
• Place the food in an appropriately sized
container into which the defrost water can
run without overflowing.
• Do not cover the food.

Defrosting by weight

1. Place the dish or a beverage in the
cooking chamber (1), and close the
cooking chamber door (6).
2. Press the "Defrost by weight/time" but-
ton (9) once.
3. The display (8) shows
4. Turn the function dial (12) in order to en-
ter the weight of the dish (between 100 g
and 2000 g, in 100 g steps).
5. Press the "Start /+30sec./Confirm" but-
ton (11).
The appliance starts. The ventilator starts.
The cooking chamber light will switch
on. The turntable (3) starts to turn. The
pre-programmed time for the entered
weight appears in the display (8), and
then counts down. The indicators for Mi-
crowave and Defrost
After half the defrosting time has elapsed,
2 short signal tones will sound indicating
that the food needs to be turned over
6. Open the cooking chamber door (6).
7. Rotate the dish.

8. Pour away any defrost water as needed.
9. Close the cooking chamber door (6).
10. To continue the defrosting process,
press the "Start/+30 Sec./Confirm" but-
ton (11).
As soon as the cooking time has finished,
a signal will sound 5 times and the ap-
pliance switches off. The display (8) now
shows the time again.
11. Open the cooking chamber door (6) and
carefully remove the dish.
Timed defrosting
1. Place the dish or a beverage in the cook-
ing chamber (1), and close the cooking
chamber door (6).
2. Press the "Defrost by weight/time" but-
ton (9) twice.
The display (8) shows
3. Turn the function dial (12) to set the de-
sired defrosting duration (between 5 sec-
onds and 95 minutes).
4. Press the "Start /+30sec./Confirm" but-
ton (11).
The appliance starts. The ventilator starts.
The cooking chamber light will switch on.
The turntable starts to turn. On the dis-
play, the time you have entered will now
be counted down. The indicators for Micro-
wave and Defrost
soon as the cooking time has finished, a
signal will sound 5 times and the appliance
switches off. The display now again shows
the time.
5. Open the cooking chamber door and
carefully remove the dish.
The power level cannot be changed
during defrosting.
