Practical tips
Stirring and turning
WARNING
Risk of burns!
Food is sometimes heated up unevenly
in the microwave. The containers also
do not usually get as hot as the food.
It is therefore important to carefully
■
check the temperature of food with
the utmost care, especially for chil-
dren.
Make absolutely sure to thoroughly
■
stir or shake the baby food after heat-
ing; then immediately check the tem-
perature of the baby food!
– Baby food in particular must be thoroughly
stirred to prevent burns. Always check the
temperature of the food by tasting.
– Please ensure, with poultry, dishes contain-
ing raw egg and when heating up meals,
that the food is thoroughly cooked in order
to completely destroy pathogens such as
salmonella.
– Stirring and turning the food halfway
through the cooking time is particularly im-
portant due to the fact that food is not heat-
ed evenly when cooked in the microwave.
Tips on defrosting
WARNING
Health hazard!
The defrost water can contain harm-
ful bacteria, especially with meat and
poultry!
Avoid any physical contact.
■
Pour away the defrost water and do
■
not use it for anything else.
Please ensure to thoroughly clean the
■
crockery you have used.
• It is preferable to use food that has been
frozen at -18 °C and divided up into small-
er portions.
• Removal all packaging.
• Place the food in an appropriately large
container, which can then collect the de-
frost water.
• Do not cover the dishes.
