Defrosting
WARNING
Health hazard!
The water that melts during defrosting
can contain harmful bacteria, especial-
ly with meat and poultry!
■ Avoid any physical contact.
■ Pour defrost water away. Do not use
it for any other purpose.
■ Thoroughly clean the crockery you
have used.
Before getting started
•
Ideally, use food which has been frozen
at –18 °C in portions that are as thin as
possible.
•
Removal all packaging.
•
Weigh the food – its weight is needed to
ensure the correct settings.
•
Place the food in an appropriately large
container which can collect the defrost
water without overflowing.
•
Do not cover the food.
Defrosting by weight
For meat, poultry and fish weighing
from 100 to 1800 g. The defrosting
time is dependent on weight, between 06:20
to 68:40 minutes.
1. Place the container on the turntable (8) in
the cooking chamber.
2. Close the cooking chamber door (11).
3. Press the
"Defrosting by weight"
button (18).
4. Turn the control dial (13) to select the
weight.
5. Push the
"START/+30Sec/Confirm"
button (14) to start the defrosting process.
The appliance will start and the fan will
switch on. In the display (1) the indicators
"Microwave mode" (23) and
frosting by weight" (26) will flash. The de-
frosting time indicator will begin to count
down.
When the countdown reaches
5 beeps will sound and the appliance will
switch off. The display will again show the
time.
Timed defrosting
For frozen food with details of defrost-
ing times on the packaging. The maxi-
mum possible defrost time is 95 min-
utes. The power level is

frosting time.
