4.1
Cleaning
m DANGER
An insulation fault can give you an electric shock!
The fan must be fully isolated from the power supply and secured against restarting before cleaning!
– Clean fan flow area, impeller, struts and motor.
– Regular inspection, with periodic cleaning if necessary is required to avoid imbalance due to contamination. Clean fan
flow area.
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents!
– High pressure cleaners or water jets are not permitted!
4.2
Fan casing with inspection opening (optional, depends on respective type)
m WARNING
– The rotating impeller can sever or trap your fingers/arms!
– Operation only with mounted safety fittings!
– Risk of damage!
– Do not insert objects into the rotating impeller!
Inspection opening may only be opened after deactivation and coasting of fan!
Do not open the inspection opening during operation and never reach into the activated fan. The impeller will continue
to rotate and coast after deactivation of the unit. Furthermore, the overrun time must be observed and it must be en-
sured that all moving parts have come to a standstill before opening the inspection opening.
Close the inspection opening before re-activating the fan and check screws for tight fit.
