before you do the maintenance.
• Before you do the maintenance, stop the motor, pull
out the operator presence control and disconnect the
power plug.
• Do the maintenance of the product on stable level
ground.
• Do not do modifications to the product. Modifications
that are not approved by the manufacturer can
cause serious injury or death.

To do before you operate the product
1. Read the operator's manual carefully and make sure
that you understand the instructions.
2. Read the operator's manual for the dust extractor
carefully and make sure that you understand the
instructions.
3. Use personal protective equipment. Refer to
Personal protective equipment on page 25 .
4. Make sure that only approved persons are in the
work area.
5. Do daily maintenance. Refer to
schedule on page 30 .
6. Make sure that the product is assembled correctly
and is not damaged.
7. Put the product on the work area. Make sure that
the surface is level and clean. Make sure that the
transportation of the product to and in the work area
is done safely and correctly. Refer to
on page 34 .
8. Connect a dust extractor to the product. Refer to
connect a dust extractor on page 28 .
9. Connect the product to a power source. Refer to
connect the product to a power source on page 28 .
10. Make sure that the electrical enclosure is closed.
To connect a dust extractor
WARNING:

damaged. The risk increases that you
breathe in dust that is dangerous to your
health. Use approved respiratory protection.
1. Examine the dust extractor hose for damages.
2. Make sure that the filters in the dust extractor are
clean and not damaged.

• Replace damaged, worn or broken parts.
• Always use original accessories and spare parts.
Accessories and spare parts that are not approved
by the manufacturer, can cause serious injury or
death.
• After maintenance, do a check of the vibration level
in the product. If it is not correct, speak to an
approved service agent.
• Let an approved service agent do servicing on the
product regularly.
3. Connect the dust extractor hose to the connection
for dust extractor. Refer to
22 for information about where the connection for
dust extractor is on your product.
To connect the product to a power
source
1. Connect the power plug of the product to an
applicable extension cable.
2. Connect the extension cable to a mains outlet.
CAUTION:
connected to a dust extractor, the dust
extractor must be connected to a 3-phase
power source.
To start the product
1. Start the dust extractor.
2. Stay behind the product and hold the handlebar with
your hands.
3. Attach the cord (A) of the operator presence control
on to your arm or to your clothing.
4. Do a check of the display (B).
a) Make sure that there are no errors or warnings.
