12. Troubleshooting

Problem / Symptom
No or unusual measurement of the rain sensor.
No or unusual measurement of the thermo-hygro
sensor.
No or unusual measurement of wind speed and
direction.
Display:
• and (signal lost for 15 minutes)
• and (signal lost for 60 minutes)
Temperature reading too high in the daytime.
Some condensation beneath the UV sensor may
occur overnight.

13. Range

The transmission range between the outdoor sensor and weather station is up to 150 m.
This value is the so-called "open space range" (the range when the transmitter and receiver are in line of
sight, without any interference).
In practice, there may be walls, room ceilings, etc., between the transmitter and the receiver, which will
reduce the range.
Due to external influences on the wireless transmission, no specific range can be guaranteed. However, trouble-free
operation is usually possible in a single-family house.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings, metal-framed drywalls
• Coated/metallised insulated glass
• Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g., radiators), electric motors/appliances, transformers, power supplies,
computers
• Proximity to human bodies
• Other devices using the same frequency (e.g., wireless headphones, wireless speakers)

How to solve
Check the drain hole in the rain collector.
Use the spirit level to ensure a level installation of the outdoor
sensor.
Check the radiation shield.
Check the sensor housing.
Check the wind cups (anemometer).
Check the wind vane.
Lessen the distance between outdoor sensor and weather
station.
Keep the weather station away from electronic devices that
may cause interference (e.g., TV, computer, microwave).
If the problem persists, press the RESET button on the weather
station and the outdoor sensor to reset them.
Make certain that the sensor is not too close to heat generating
sources or obstacles, such as buildings, pavement, walls or air
conditioning units.
This will disappear when temperature rises up and will not
affect the performance of the unit.
