Operating Instruction
The Travel Charger charges only the Motorola Solutions authorized battery. Non-authorized batteries
are not charged by the travel charger.
Charge the battery by using the rapid charge method before operating your radio for the first time.
NOTE: To avoid a decrease in overall battery performance, do not leave a battery or radio in
the Travel Charger for extended periods of time such as one week.
3.1

Charging Inside the Vehicle

Procedure:
1 Plug the vehicular charger adapter into the vehicle auxiliary power outlet.
NOTE: Some vehicle auxiliary power outlets do not maintain an electrical current when
the vehicle is turned off.
• Rated input: 12 – 24 DC 3.0 A.
3.2

Charging the Battery

Procedure:
Insert a battery or radio with a battery into the charger pocket. Ensure the charging contacts
make contact with the battery.
