Instrumental checks to be carried out by the installer
a) continuity of the protection leads and of the main and supplementary equipotential circuits;
b) insulation resistance of the electric system;
c) test efficiency of the differential protection;;
d) test the applied voltage;
e)
test operation as indicated in points

Supplying power to the control panel

After having correctly performed the steps described above, turn the switch ref. SA1 and SA2 to position 0 and the switch ref.
QM1 and QM2 to position I, and close the panel door. Turn the isolating switch ref. QS1 on the panel door to 0. Supply power
to the control panel, switching on the main switch on the distribution panel. Switch on the panel with the isolating switch
refQS1.The electropumps are not fed.
8.6
Starting the set
1. Ensure that the external controls are turned OFF (control excluded).
2. Turn the selector ref.SA1 to position MAN. The electropump P1 is fed as long as the manual impulse lasts.
3. Turn the selector ref.SA2 to position MAN. The electropump P2 is fed as long as the manual impulse lasts.
4. Turn the switch ref. SA1 and SA2 AUT position.
 For system with two floats: the run command is supplied by float B for pump P1 and by float C for pump P2.
The stop command is given for both pumps by float B in minimum position.
 For systems with three floats: the run command is supplied by float B for pump P1 and by float C for pump P2.
The stop command is given for both pumps by float A in minimum position.
 The possible float against dry operation N or the maximum pressure float R, for both types of system, blocks
operation of the pumps.
Avoid starting the system by turning the isolating switch (ref. QS1) with the switch
(ref. SA1 and SA2) in a position other than 0.

Alarm system

1. Check correct operation of the alarm float connected to the terminals ref. P (n°25-26).
2. With the alarm float in ON position, check correct operation of the remote alarm connected to the terminals
Q (n°31-32), remembering that, in the standard supply version, the contact has no potential.
N.B. : The power circuit for the alarm system must be provided with a PELV safety circuit (CEI EN 60204-1).
Otherwise ensure that the earth lead of the float is connected to the terminal

Installation and use of the oil probe module

The function of the module is to check for the presence of any water in the oil by means of a sensor probe inserted
in the oil chamber.
When the percentage of water exceeds a predetermine value, the probe closes the circuit between the sensor and the
equipotential contact of the pump, lighting the respective warning light on the panel to indicate the fault (HL4 for
pump 1, HL5 for pump 2).
The module is a standard feature on all panels for pumps with star-delta start.. Instead, all panels for three-phase
pumps with direct start are provided with a housing for fitting the module afterwards.
Installation of the oil probe module
To install the probe module in panels prepared for this function, it is necessary to follow these steps:
1 – Switch off the electric power supply.
2 – The module must be fitted in the place of the terminal board CL1 and CL2, so the cables must be disconnected
and the terminals removed. The cables must be connected to the new device installed (the number of the wire is the
same as the number of the terminal to which it is to be connected).
3 – Check that the connection made corresponds to the wiring diagram.
4 – Supply power to the panel.
On the module there is a green warning led (ON) which lights up to indicate that the device is powered.
The module must be set as follows; different configurations do not guarantee the required functions:
With this potentiometer it is possible to set the relay sensitivity from 2.5 to 100 kohm
Sensitivity
Default : 80 kohm
Mode
DOWN. This function must not be changed.
