Vacation mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can
cause stored food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.
■ Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■ Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other refrigerating appliance.
■ Consume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately and do not refreeze.
If you won't use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on vacation), you can
activate "Vacation mode". This will save en-
ergy.
The fridge will switch off when "Vacation
mode" is active. The temperature in the freez-
er is kept at –18 °C.
Activating "Vacation mode"
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el" on page EN-13.
2. Press the button (22) for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
The
indicator (18) will appear on the
display. The freezer temperature display
switches to –18 °C.
Deactivating "Vacation mode"
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section "Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el" on page EN-13.
2. Press the button (22) for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
Operation
The indicator (18) will disappear from the
display. The freezer temperature display
switches to –18 °C.

Door alarm

The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the doors are
opened often or for long periods of time.
A beep will sound if the fridge door (2) is left
open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the fridge door (2).

The shelves

The door shelves (3) and the bottle rack (5)
can be taken out and rearranged if necessary.
The "Convenient zone" drawer (10) in the
freezer can be removed to create more space
in the lower large drawer (9) in the freezer.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-11.
• To remove the glass shelves (14) or (15)
(e.g. to clean them), lift them slightly at the
front and then pull them out of the guide
rail.
• In order to remove the glass cover (12) for
the fish/meat drawer (11), you should re-
move the fruit/vegetable drawer (13) first.
