On heavyweight fabrics that ravel, the raw edge
should be overcast first. Then fold the hem, as
illustrated, leaving
1/4"(0.7 cm) of the hem edge showing.
Position the fabric so the needle at its leftmost
position just pierces the edge of the fold.
After hemming is completed, press together both
sides of the finished hem. The top side of the
fabric should show only the blind stitches.

Use a light weight fabric such as tricot.
Fold and stitch on bias.
Place the folded edge along the slot of foot.
The needle should fall off the edge of the fabric on the
right forming a tuck.

En telas gruesas, primero deberá rematar el borde.
Después pliegue el dobladillo de la forma indicada en la
ilustración, dejando de 0,7 cm (1/4") del borde cosido a
la vista.
Coloque la tela en la máquina de tal forma que la aguja
tan solo punce la parte plegada de la tela cuando la
aguja vaya hasta el extremo izquierdo de la puntada
ancha en zig-zag.
Después de que el dobladillo haya sido cosido por
completo, planche ambos lados del dobladillo
terminado. En la parte de arriba de la tela tan solo se
podrán ver las puntadas invisibles.

Use una tela liviana como, por ejempro, tricot.
doble y cosa al sesgo.
Coloque la orilla doblada a lo largo de la ranura del
prensatelas.
La aguja debe bajar fuera de la orilla de la tela a la
derecha, formando una alforza con apariencia de una
concha marina.
