While both constant and proportional pressure con-
trol are available, HEYLO recommends running the
device with constant pressure control.
a) Turn the adjusting knob of the circulation pump
to position 0 and then quickly to position 6.
 Adjusting knob lit in white: constant pressure
control active.
 Adjusting knob lit in blue: proportional pres-
sure control active.
 The circulation pump mode is now set.
For more information about the operation and con-
trol of the circulation pump, see separate manual.
16 Device operation and
control
Prior to switching on
a) Make sure that the device is not standing on a
wet surface and that it is in an upright and sta-
ble position.
b) Make sure that the device is connected to the
heating circuit and that the system has been
filled with water and bled.
c) Make sure that the power cord is not damaged.
d) Make sure that the power cord is connected to
the matching power socket on the device (see
Technical data [ 35]).
e) Strictly adhere to all instructions in the Operat-
ing conditions [ 23] are adhered to.

a) Turn the device switch to position [1].
 The device starts within a few seconds.
Should the device fail to start, refer to sec-
tion Malfunctions during operation
 The device is now switched on and starts the
last selected program.
If necessary, change program in the program
selection menu.

a) Select the program you wish to run at the de-
vice display (see Control and display elements
[ 27]).

a) Turn the device switch to position [OFF].
 The device is now switched off.

Malfunctions

For troubleshooting, observe the following general
rules:
– All work must be carried out by trained and au-
thorised technicians.
– During the statutory warranty period, all work on
the device must be carried out by the manufac-
turer or by persons authorised by the manufac-
turer.
a) Let the device cool down.
b) Wear suitable protective clothing.
c) Check the feed line, the return line and all other
water-filled components for leakage.
d) Before restarting the device, install all safety
devices as attached at the factory.
e) Check that the safety devices are working
properly.
f) After completion of the work, remove all tools
and objects from the working area around the
device.

Touching live parts can be fatal.
a) Before carrying out any work on electrical com-
ponents, disconnect the power plug from the
mains socket.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to missing guards
Missing guards can lead to injury.
a) Before switching on the device, install all
guards that may have been removed for trou-
bleshooting.
b) Check all the safety devices before switching
on the device.
