Infrared oil heater IR 20 H (battery)
Mains power operation
a) Connect the power cord to the power port of the
device.
b) Connect the mains plug to a mains socket that
is earthed or protected by an integrated RC cir-
cuit breaker (see Technical data and factory set-
tings [ 40]).
 The device is now ready for operation.

NOTICE
Use original accessories
To ensure reliable device operation, only connect
original accessories to the device.

✓ The device is in standby mode – the device is
switched off and the battery is inserted in the
slot or the mains plug is connected.
a) Remove the protective cap from the device
socket.
b) Plug the thermostat plug into the socket and
lock the plug.
c) Place the thermostat in a suitable position.

CAUTION
Risk of injury from burns on hot surfaces
The housing of the device and in particular the heat-
ing plate, the protective grille, the combustion
chamber and the guard become very hot during
operation, and can cause burns. Particular caution
is required at places where children or persons with
a physical, sensory or mental disability are present.
a) Do not touch hot surfaces.
b) Wear protective gloves.
c) If children or persons with a physical, sensory
or mental disability are present near the device,
supervise them closely.
Prior to switching on
a) Make sure that the device is not standing on a
wet surface and that it is in an upright and sta-
ble position.
b) Make sure that there is fuel in the tank.
c) For battery operation: Make sure that the bat-
tery is free of defects, charged and inserted into
the device.
d) For mains power operation: Make sure that the
power cord is properly connected and not dam-
aged.
Make sure that the device is connected to a
mains socket with the correct voltage and pro-
tection (seeTechnical data and factory settings
[ 40]).
e) Strictly adhere to all instructions in the Operat-
ing conditions [ 26] are adhered to.
