Unpacking and assembling device

a) Open the packaging and remove it from the de-
vice.
b) Check the delivery for completeness.
Report any transport damage or incomplete de-
livery to your dealer.
c) Make sure that the battery and the power cord
are not damaged.
d) Using the supplied screws, attach the handle to
the device.
e) Dispose of the packaging according to the ap-
plicable statutory regulations.
Charging battery
The lithium-ion battery must be charged with the
original battery charges supplied with the device.
Operate the battery charger only in a dry and dust-
free room. The charger comes with a control unit
that controls the charging cycle. It features an indi-
cator showing the status of the charging process.

1 Battery
a) Connect the power cord to the power port of the
battery charger.
b) Connect the mains plug to a mains socket that
is earthed or protected by an integrated RC cir-
cuit breaker (see Technical data and factory set-
tings
[
40]).
c) Slide the battery to the stop into the battery cra-
dle of the charger.
 The charging process starts automatically.
d) When the battery is fully charged, the status
indicator on the charger is lit,

1 Fuel tank cap
a) Open the fuel tank cap and fill the tank with a
suitable fuel (see also Fuel
fill the tank. Monitor the filling level at the filling
level indicator.
NOTICE! Use only fuels that are suitable for
the device.
b) Close the fuel tank cap.
Installing device on site
To install the device on site, observe the Operating
conditions
[
26] and the following rules:
– Transport the device by the handle.
– Position the device so that the air intake is not
obstructed.
– Ensure adequate air circulation around the com-
bustion chamber. Keep the prescribed minimum
distances to other objects (see Operating condi-
tions
[
27]).
– Keep the device away from loose objects, includ-
ing curtains, etc.
– Do not place the device on a wet surface.
– There should be no objects between the device
and the item to be heated.
– The device must be in a stable position so that it
cannot topple during operation.
Connecting device to power supply
Battery operation
a) For battery operation: Slide the battery into the
battery slot of the device and ensure that it en-
gages.
 The device is now ready for operation.
