must also specify a host name for the DNS configuration. Use the name of the PC
for reasons of consistency, which, ideally, should be the same as the user name.
Checking the IP configuration
Check the current IP configuration of the computer under Windows 95 or Windows
98 by selecting Start Run winipcfg. Among other information, you can see
the IP address assigned to the computer by the DHCP server and the addresses
conveyed for the DNS server and gateway.
