1. INTRODUCTION
GB Thank you for having chosen EBARA submersible motor-
driven pumps. Our products are attentively constructed
to guarantee fully safe use. Improper motor-driven pump
use may, however, cause accidents. Therefore you should
follow the instructions in this manual.
For best and correct motor-driven pump use, follow the
instructions in this manual. If you need further information,
get in touch with your nearest authorized dealer.
This instruction manual should be kept in an easily accessible
place to permit quick consultation.

4. WARRANTY AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED
IN THIS MANUAL AND/OR ANY WORK ON THE
MOTOR-DRIVEN PUMP NOT CONDUCTED BY
OUR SERVICE CENTRES SHALL NULL AND VOID
THE WARRANTY AND, CONSEQUENTLY, THE
MANUFACTURER CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR
ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES TO PROPERTY AND/
OR THE MOTOR-DRIVEN PUMP.
When you receive the motor-driven pump, make sure no
part of it has been broken or is badly dented. If you find
any such damages, point it out to the person making
the delivery immediately. Then, once you have removed
the motor-driven pump from its packaging, make sure
it has not been damaged during transit. If it has, advise
the dealer thereof within 8 days of delivery. Next, check
whether the specifications indicated on the motor-driven
pump nameplate are the ones you ordered.
The following parts are subject to normal wear and tear
and, as a result, are covered by a limited warranty:
- bearings;
- mechanical seal;
- o-rings;
- capacitors:
5. SAFETY WARNINGS
Before using the motor-driven pump, the user should
know how to conduct all the operations described in this
manual and apply them during motor-driven pump use
8 or maintenance.

8 5.1. PREVENTIVE MEASURES

9 The user must meet all workers safety standards

During motor-driven pump handling, maintenance

or repairs, disconnect the electrical supply to

prevent the pump from accidentally starting

and causing injuries and/or damages.

Any maintenance, installation or handling carried
out on the motor-driven pump with the system
power on can result in serious accidents, and
possibly even death.
Do not start the motor-driven pump in your
bare feet, or worse yet, while standing in water
or when your hands are wet.
Do not use the pump at outside the range
of the specification, such as handling liquid,
installing site, and power source.
Do not undertake any operation or work on
your own initiative unless allowed by this
manual.
