4.2.2. Swing-away legrests

The BX 11 S is fitted with removable legrests (Fig. 12).
You can flip the footplates up separately to the side, adjust the angle
and adjust to the lower leg length of the user. You can remove the
legrests, swing them away and refit them without needing to use tools.
Attach legrests

• Hold the top of the legrest so that it is pointing outwards.
• Guide the legrest into the hole in the frame using the guide profile
(Fig. 13).
• Swing the legrest to the front until you hear it clearly click into
place (Fig. 13)
• Flip the footplate down if necessary.
Swing the legrests away and remove them

In order to make it easier to transfer to and from your folding
wheelchair, you can swing the legrests inwards or outwards, without
having to remove them.
• Flip the footplate up if necessary.
• Pull the handle upwards (Fig. 14) and swing the legrest outwards
(Fig. 15).
• In the outward position, the legrest can be pulled out by pulling it
upwards (Fig. 15).
Before setting off, fit the legrests as described above.

Adjusting the legrest length
The footplates can be adjusted to the lower leg length in 5 positions

Never stand on the footplate!
Before driving, please make sure that the legrests are
firmly in place!
