Replace chain guard.
q Front Tire Replacement

Loosen front axle bolts
by turning wrenches counter
clockwise.
q Adjusting Chain

Loosen rear axle bolts.

Once tension is correct,
tighten axle bolts and brake
housing anchor bolt. Test ride.
Readjust as needed.

Remove wheel and install
replacement.

Loosen brake housing anchor
bolt.

Tighten tension adjusters on
axle 1/8 to 1/4 turn to fine-
tune the chain tension. Both
adjusters must be tightened
exact same amount to maintain
wheel alignment.

Note: The chain should be "just
taut". The tension should be
similar to the fan chain on an
automobile. BE CAREFUL NOT
TO ADJUST TOO TIGHT. The
tensioning system can easily
impart too much tension and
snap the chain or bend the
motor shaft. Adjust 1/8 to 1/4
turn at a time and check tension
each time.
