19.1 Remedying Faults in the Blower or Battery

Fault LEDs on the
battery
The vacuum 1 LED flashing
shredder does not green.
start when switched
on.
1 LED emits red
light.
3 LEDs flashing
red.
3 LEDs light
up red.
4 LEDs flashing
red.

Cause
State of charge of the
battery is too low.
The battery is too warm or
too cold.
There is a fault in the
vacuum shredder.
The vacuum shredder is
too hot.
There is a fault in the
battery.
No electrical contact
between the vacuum
shredder and the battery.
The vacuum shredder or
battery is damp.
Remedy
► Charge the battery.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the battery to cool down or warm up.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean electrical contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert battery.
► Switch the vacuum shredder on.
► If 3 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not use the
blower and contact your STIHL dealer for
assistance.
► Remove the battery.
► Wait for the vacuum shredder to cool down.
► Remove battery and reinsert it.
► Switch the vacuum shredder on.
► If 4 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not use the
battery and contact your STIHL dealer for
assistance.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean electrical contacts in the battery
compartment.
► Insert battery.
► Allow the vacuum shredder or battery to dry.
