2.3 Operation

Attention please: caused by electric current or voltage!
Prior to working on electrical components, the master switch must
be deactivated and the unit must have zero potential.
The unit is preset and does not need any changes except the adjustment of
the outlet pressure reducer.
Activation and deactivation is pressure-controlled and depends on the require-
ments of the respective consumer.
Permeate may be drawn at the sampling valve (16) to check the quality.
The quantity of permeate filled into the heating system is determined by the
water counter (12).
Please ensure the regular hygiene rinsing, to perform the high quality of
permeate.
Hygienic rinsing at least for 10 minutes
Automatic hygiene rinsing
The unit is operated with an automatic timer (to be provided by operator)
twice a week.
Connect the raw water inlet, lead the permeate and concentration outlet to
the sewer.
Connect the mains cable to the automatic timer at the power supply.
Set the automatic timer in such a way that the unit is supplied with power
twice a week for 10 minutes.
Check membrane element
If the pressure after the pump rises by 20% at the pressure gauge (7) or if
the permeate output is noticeably reduced (in relation to the data of the com-
missioning protocol), the membrane element has to be cleaned. If incorrect
values persist after cleaning, the membrane element must be exchanged.
Exchange filter element
If the inlet pressure controller (10) deactivates the unit despite sufficient preli-
minary pressure of the mains, the filter elements have to be exchanged, latest
however, after 6 months.
Filter element 60 µm
Art.-No.: 1-902801
Filter element 5 µm
Art.-No.: 1-902802
Disinfect the membrane element
If the unit is not operated for a longer period of time, it has to be disinfected.
It is recommended to have cleaning and disinfection done by our customer
service staff since its members have been trained in handling the required
chemicals.
The disinfection is to be renewed latest every 6 months.
2 x weekly
