N.B. "B11" type appliances are provided with either a wind-resistant vent stack or a cowl, supplied separately and
not assembled.
- For installations with suction hoods, the top end of the
flue must be positioned at least 1.8 m above the floor,
and the flue opening must be located directly under
the hood perimeter.
- "A" type gas appliances
Not designed for compulsory connection to a flue
extraction system.
These appliances discharge combustion products via
suction hoods or similar, which are connected to an
efficient flue or connected directly to the outside.
Alternatively an air suction unit connected directly to
the outside can be fitted, with a minimum suction
capacity of 1 m
3
/h of fumes per kW of absorbed power
of the appliance.
WATER MAINS CONNECTION
Connect the water supply pipe to the mains with a
mechanical filter and shutoff valve.
Before connecting the filter, allow a certain amount of
water to flow out to flush debris from inside the pipe.
WATER DISCHARGE
Connect the appliance water discharge pipe to the
mains.

GAS MAINS CONNECTION
The gas mains connection must be by means of exposed
metal piping in galvanised steel or copper.
Each appliance must be connected to the mains and
feature an easily accessible shutoff valve, which must be
closed when the appliance is not used. The connection
pipes must comprise a three-piece coupling to facilitate
appliance disconnection and re-connection. The con-
nection thread sealing efficiency is ensured by means of
suitable materials for gas pipes as specified by the
manufacturer. The appliance must be supplied with the
correct type of gas (see data plate) and with the charac-
teristics as indicated in the technical specifications.
Check rated heating power of the appliance according to
the instructions below, in the case of new installations,
when the appliance is adapted for other types of gas, and
in the event of maintenance operations.
The heating power cannot be adjusted by other means.
- Appliance operation at the correct rated and minimum
heating power depends on correct pressure supply and
use of correct nozzles. Proceed as described below. On
completion carry out an operation check as indicated in
the paragraph "operation check".
