Probable cause
1. No fuel.
2. The throttle control lever is in the "STOP"
position.
3. Fuel shut-off valve is closed.
4. Spark plug cord incorrectly attached or
disconnected.
5. Spark plug defective or incorrect electrode
gap.
6. Engine flooded.
1. The battery is discharged.
2. The battery is disconnected.
3. The fuse is blown.
1. Dirt in petrol tank.
2. The air cleaner is dirty.
3. Water in petrol tank and carburettor.
4. Vent in fuel cap and/or carburettor clogged.
1. Spark plug faulty or improperly gapped.
2. The air cleaner is dirty.
1. Spark plug improperly gapped.
2. The air cleaner is dirty.
3. Dirty cooling fins.
4. Low oil level.
5. The flywheel's protector grid, located under the
recoil starter, is restricted by blades of grass,
etc..
1. Loose blade or engine mounting bolts.
2. Blade unbalanced.
