Zum Ermitteln des Füllstandniveaus und der Kondensa-
tablasszeiten sind in dem Fühlerrohr zwei kapazitive Sonden
übereinander angeordnet.
Durch Phasenvergleichsmessung detektiert die Elektronik
ständig den Zustand der unteren und oberen Sonde.
Sind beide Sonden überflutet, wird nach ca. 2 Sekunden der
Ableitvorgang eingeleitet und ein Überwachungs-Schaltkreis
aktiviert:
Die Ventileinheit öffnet zur Ablaufleitung hin, und die Zeit
bis zum Freiwerden der unteren Sonde wird gemessen.
Daraus wird die noch notwendige Öffnungszeit des Ventils
berechnet, um den Behälter optimal zu entleeren. Danach
wird der Ableitvorgang und Überwachungs-Schaltkreis
beendet.
Bei gestörter Kondensatableitung übernimmt der Überwa-
chungs-Schaltkreis den weiteren Funktionsablauf.
Man unterscheidet zwei Störungen:
1. Der Ableitvorgang wird eingeleitet, die untere Sonde
bleibt jedoch längere Zeit bedeckt
- Die Gesamt-Öffnungszeit kann daraus nicht
bestimmt werden. Der Ableitvorgang wird
abgebrochen und erst wieder eingeleitet, wenn die
obere Sonde bedeckt ist.
2. Die untere und obere Sonde bleiben permanent
überflutet
- Der Ableitvorgang wird abgebrochen und nach ca. 2
Sekunden erneut eingeleitet. Bleiben die Sonden
weiterhin bedeckt, wiederholt sich dieser Vorgang
ca.60 Sekunden lang. Danach schaltet der
BEKOMAT in den Alarmmodus:
Die Ventileinheit schließt und das Alarmrelais (= potential-
freier Kontakt) fällt ab (fail-safe-Betrieb). Die rote LED blinkt
und das Ventil öffnet alle 4 Minuten für ca.7,5 Sekunden.
Der BEKOMAT bleibt so lange im Alarmmodus, bis die
Störung behoben ist.
Die Ventileinheit kann jederzeit mit dem Test-Taster betätigt
werden und bleibt während der Betätigungszeit geöffnet.
Zusätzlich blinkt die rote LED.
Wird der Test-Taster länger als 1 Minute betätigt, erfolgt eine
Alarmmeldung über den potentialfreien Kontakt.
Der Betriebszustand des Kondensatableiters wird durch
drei LED's angezeigt:
Grüne LED: Spannung liegt an
(normaler Betriebszustand)
Gelbe LED: Magnetventil ist betätigt
Rote LED:
Alarmmodus oder Test ist betätigt
(LED blinkt)

The condensate level and the condensate discharge times
are determined with the aid of two capacitive sensors ar-
ranged in a vertical line inside a sensor tube.
Information on the respective state of the upper and lower
sensor is obtained by phase comparison.
When both sensors are covered by condensate, the dis-
charge procedure is started after about 2 seconds and the
monitoring circuit is activated.
As soon as the valve unit opens the discharge line, the
system determines the time required until the lower sensor
will again be free of condensate.
This serves as a basis for calculating the total opening time
of the valve. At the end of this period, the container of the
BEKOMAT will be empty; the discharge procedure is then
stopped and the monitoring circuit is deactivated.
If the condensate discharge is not functioning properly,
the monitoring circuit will regulate the further operational
sequence.
One distinguishes between two types of malfunction:
1. The discharge procedure is started, but the lower sensor
remains covered.
- It is therefore not possible to determine the opening
time of the valve unit. The discharge procedure
is interrupted and only restarted when the upper
sensor is covered again.
2. Both the lower and the upper sensor remain permanently
covered.
- The discharge procedure is interrupted and
restarted after about 2 seconds. This is repeated
until the alarm signal is triggered (after about 60
seconds).
In the alarm mode, the valve unit is first closed and the alarm
relay drops out (fail-safe operation).
The alarm signal is maintained and the solenoid valve is
actuated every 4 minutes for a period of about 7.5 seconds.
The red LED continues to flash during this time. The switch-
ing function is repeated until the device is back to normal
operation.
The solenoid valve can always be actuated by means of the
test button. The valve will stay open as long as the button
is being pressed. The red LED flashes during this period.
The alarm signal via the the potential-free contact occurs
after 60 seconds.
The operating states of the condensate drain are indicated
by three LEDs:
Green LED
Operating state (Power on)
Yellow LED Actuated solenoid valve
Red LED Alarm mode or testing (flashing light)
