Adjusting the sound

You can adjust the sound characteristics to your
preference.

Select the item you want to adjust.
Each time you press the
button, the adjustable items
change as follows:
BAS TRE
(bass) (treble)
VOL
(volume) (subwoofer)
Indication To do:

BAS* Adjust the bass.
TRE* 1 Adjust the treble.

FAD* Adjust the front
and rear speaker
balance.
BAL Adjust the left
and right speaker
balance.

LOUD* Boost low and high
frequencies to
produce a well-
balanced sound
at low volume level.
WOOFER Adjust the
subwoofer output
level.
VOL* 3 Adjust the volume.

When you adjust the bass, treble, or loudness, the
adjustment you have made is stored for the currently
selected sound mode (C-EQ) including "USER."
* 2 If you are using a two-speaker system, set the fader
level to "00."

Normally the control dial works as the volume
control. So you do not have to select "VOL" to
adjust the volume level.

Adjust the setting.
Equalization pattern changes
as you adjust the bass or treble.
Ex. 1: When you adjust "TRE" (treble)
Ex. 2: When you turn on the loudness

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to adjust the
other items.
To reset each sound mode to the factory
settings, repeat the same procedure and
reassign the preset values listed in the table on
page 30.
