7.1.5

Schedule

Program start is subdivided into two parts: New spot selection and Program start.
Both parts use a handshake.
The robot initially selects a new spot number at the corresponding timer inputs.
Afterwards, it sets the "New spot selection" input.
This input requests the timer to read out the new spot number, to prepare the
corresponding welding program and to set the program-dependent timer outputs
("Without weld process monitoring or without stepper", "With welding current",
"Force set point", "Sheet thickness", "Start tip dress request", "Tip dress request",
"Prewarning", "End of stepper") accordingly.
Afterwards, the timer will set the output "Spot selection data valid".
If the timer found the spot in the internal spot table or if a program was directly
selected, the timer will set the output "spot selection valid". When a valid spot
selection is active at the I/O array, the „Spot selection valid" output will become
high, otherwise it will be low.
Once the robot has detected the "Spot selection data valid" output, it can evaluate
the corresponding outputs of the weld timer. Furthermore, it must reset the "New
spot selection" input.
As a response, the timer will reset the outputs "Spot selection data valid" and
"spot selection valid".
Spot numbers lower than the installed max. program number will be interpreted
as program numbers by the timer.
The actual program start is initiated by the input "Start 1" of the robot. At the end
of the schedule, the timer will either set the "Weld complete" output, if the
schedule was o.k., or the "Welding fault" output will be set if the schedule was not
o.k., or the "Timer ready" output will be reset if a general fault was present.
When the robot resets the "Program Start" input, the timer will reset the "Weld
complete" output. The fault has to be corrected and reset in the event of an
incorrect schedule.
If the spot number selected during start differs from the one specified together
with the program selection function, the welding sequence will not be started.

Primary current regulation activated as default setting

The primary current regulation is activated as default setting.
7.1.7

Electrode status query

On the Outputs belonging to the Electrode status (A1.01-A1.04) the status over all
electrodes is displayed. After setting the Input „Query stepper status" the inputs of
the spot selection (E3.12-E4.15) are interpreted as electrode number. The status
of the single electrode is displayed on the status outputs. Changing of the
electrode number must be confirmed with a rising edge on the input "New spot
selection". Here-on the status outputs follow the electrode number.
The inputs "Tips have been dressed" and "electrodes have been replaced" also
interpret the inputs of the spot selection (E3.12-E4.15) as electrode number.
7.1.8

Component number

This number is added to the data of the welding protocol in order to allow for a
subsequent allocation of the information to a specific component on a specific car
