Storing the bike

If the motorcycle is to be left unused over long periods,
it is advisable to carry out the following operations before
storing it:
clean the motorcycle;
drain the fuel from fuel tank;
pour a few drops of engine oil into the cylinders through

the spark plug seats, then crank the engine by hand a few
times so a protective film of oil will spread on cylinder
inner walls;
place the motorcycle on the paddock stand;
disconnect and remove the battery.
Battery should be checked and charged or replaced
whenever the motorcycle has been left unused for over
a month;
Protect the motorcycle with the special cover, available
from Ducati Performance, that will protect paintwork and
let condensate breathe out.

Important notes

The legislation in certain countries, such as France,
Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland etc., requires your
motorcycle to meet certain noise emission and pollution
standards.
Carry out the required periodic checks, and replace
parts with Ducati original spare parts when necessary,
as required by the regulations in the country of use.
