Safety instructions

Please note that you are responsible for the safety of the
user� This could be at risk if you do not follow the safety
guidelines� Nevertheless, it is not possible to cover all
potential circumstances and unforeseeable situations
in these guidelines� Therefore common sense, caution
and prudence are required when handling the prod-
uct� Every person operating the product should know
and understand all the instructions� Furthermore, you
should explain the operation of the product and its ac-
cessories to every person using the product�

Stairs are only permitted to be negotiated with

the assistance of accompanying persons�
If facilities such as access ramps or lifts are

available for this purpose, these must be used�
In the absence of such facilities, two accompa-
nying persons can carry the product over obsta-
cles without the user�
Techniques for climbing stairs are explained

in detail in Section 10; it is imperative that you
comply with these�
Make sure that the accompanying persons only

grip the product on firmly mounted or bonded
components�
Do not lift the product by the foot rest, head

rest, arm rests or similar parts�
