Degree of protection
The dew point is also dependent on the absolute pressure, i.e. on the installation
altitude. The dew points for low atmospheric pressures range below those at
altitude 0 m, therefore choosing the coolant inlet temperature for altitude 0 m is
always sufficient.

Degree of protection
The degree of protection of PS6000 and PRC7000 weld timers corresponds to
IP20 according to DIN EN 60529.
Always install the weld timer in a switch cabinet which complies with degree of
protection IP54 at least.
The temperature ranges mentioned in Section 8 also apply to the installation in a
switch cabinet.
For welding transformers, refer to the degree of protection in the Rexroth
PSGxxxx MF welding transformers instructions, refer to Table 1: Required and
supplementary documentation.
10 Connection technology
The PS6000 / PRC7000 timers and PSG xxxx transformers have to be connected
at the feed and return lines using a flexible and electrically non-conductive tube
(refer to Section 7 Materials) in order to avoid electrochemical corrosion and
reduce the transmission of vibrations. The tube length (feed and return lines in
total) should be approx.1.5 m.
Connection of the coolant tubes should be made prior to assembly of the devices.
11 Commissioning, maintenance
11.1 Commissioning
After assembly of the PS6000 / PRC7000 devices and PSGxxxx transformers in
the system, the cooling circuit has to be commissioned prior to the electrical
system.
A venting should be performed before commissioning.
11.2 Maintenance
The service recommendation for the cooling circuit is to check the filling level and
the discoloration or clouding of the coolant at intervals of 3 months.
