Phone Book

The phone book can be used to store a maximum of 30 phone numbers together with the associated names. The
maximum length of a phone number is 20 digits.

Entering phone numbers in the phone book

1. Press the Menu button

4. Enter the associated name (max. 12 letters) using the keypad. Information on entering names is provided
in the next section.

6. Enter the relevant phone number using the digit keys.

8. Select the melody you wish to assign to this phone number using the selection buttons

If you want to store more phone numbers, continue with Step 3. Press the
Notes on the phone book:
- In addition, one of the three ringing melodies can be assigned to each phone number stored. In this way, you can
tell who is calling simply from the ringing melody. This assignment only functions when your telephone connection
and that of the caller implement the caller number display (CLIP function).
Always enter the area access code with the phone numbers so that the telephone can also assign incoming local
calls to a phone book entry.
- Further information on caller number display is provided in Chapter 6.
- If the memory capacity of 30 phone numbers is reached, the message "MEMORY FULL" appears when an attempt
is made to store another number. Phone book entries will then have to be deleted in order create space.
Explanation of entering names:
The digit keys are also labelled with letters for the entry of the respective letters. Pressing the respective key the
necessary number of times enables capital letters and digits to be entered.
Example: To enter the name "Peter".
Press: digit 7 once, digit 3 twice, digit 8 once, digit 3 twice, digit 7 three times
- To enter a space, press 1 once
- To enter a hyphen, press 1 twice.
- To enter the same letter twice or a letter on the same button, press the appropriated letter and then wait until the
cursor automatically skips to the next position.
