Ì The ambient temperature in the installation location for the system must match the operating tem-
peratures stated on the product label and in the specifications.
Ì In the event of safety-related questions, if necessary contact the responsible safety authorities in
your country or the responsible specialist association.

Ì This information relates to use and parametrization of the MSC system. EUCHNER will not accept
any liability for the customers' selected solutions for the circuits, the circuit diagrams or the de-
fined configuration parameters of their application. The user bears full responsibility for the imple-
mented circuits and circuit diagrams and for the selection of the parameter values for the system
configuration, including those for the MSC system.

Electrical connections

WARNING
Ì Install safety modules in a control cabinet that meets degree of protection IP54 as a minimum.
Ì The power supply for the modules must be 24 VDC ±20% (PELV, as per EN 60204-1 (chapter
6.4)).
Ì MSC is not allowed to be used to supply external devices.
Ì The same ground connection (0 VDC) is to be used for all system components.
Notes in relation to connecting cables
NOTICE
Ì Connection cross-section range: AWG 12 – 30 (single conductor/multiple conductor) (UL).
Ì Use only copper wires (Cu) for 60/75 °C.
Ì It is recommended to use separate power supplies for the safety module and for other electrically
powered devices (electric motors, inverters, frequency converters) or other sources of interfer-
ence.
Ì Cables for connections with a length of more than 50 m must have a cross-section of at least
1 mm
