6 Connection and commissioning
Example network address configuration
 Open the properties for the LAN port and select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/
IPv4)".
 Open the properties for "TCP/IPv4". Enter the IP address and DNS server address
(see example configuration).
Enter the address for the PC in "IP address"; this address must be in the
same subnet as the address for the GEL 211C.
It is recommended to enter "192.168.141.2" if the IP address of the
GEL 211C is "192.168.141.1".
 Connect the GEL 211C to the required LAN port on the PC using a suitable LAN
cable.
 Open the web browser and start the web interface by entering the IP address.
If you cannot establish a connection, contact your network administrator.
