The GEL 211C is integrated into an existing network without a DHCP server or con-
nected directly to a terminal (point-to-point connection).
The GEL 211C is ready; the "Power" LED illuminates green.
Integrating the GEL 211C into an existing network without a DHCP server
Connect the GEL 211C to a spare USB port on a Windows PC.
The GEL 211C is detected by the PC as mass storage and as a virtual COM port.
Should the GEL 211C not be detected as a virtual COM port, it may be
necessary to install a driver. You will find the related files on the newly de-
tected mass storage device in the folder driver.
Start the commissioning tool
Clear "DHCP client enable".
Enter the IP address (Device IP address) and the subnet mask (Subnet mask).
Eject the USB medium on the PC and disconnect from the USB port.
Integrate the GEL 211C into the existing network using a suitable LAN cable.
Open the web browser and start the web interface by entering the IP address.
If you cannot establish a connection, contact your network administrator.
