Connecting GEL 211C directly to a terminal without DHCP server (point-to-
point connection)
Connect the GEL 211C to a spare USB port on a Windows PC.
The GEL 211C is detected by the PC as mass storage and as a virtual COM port.
Should the GEL 211C not be detected as a virtual COM port, it may be
necessary to install a driver. You will find the related files on the newly de-
tected mass storage device in the folder driver.
Start the commissioning tool
Clear "DHCP client enable".
Enter the IP address (Device IP address) and the subnet mask (Subnet mask).
Eject the USB medium on the PC and disconnect from the USB port.
Configuring LAN port
Change the adapter settings for the Ethernet connection.
In Windows, open Network Connections and select the adapter (LAN port) used
(in the example "LAN connection 2").
