General safety notes

WARNING
Danger of fatal electric shock
The use of damaged electrical devices can lead to serious injuries or death as a
result of an electric shock.
▶ Before using, always check that the mains cable, mains plug and start button of
the electrical devices are undamaged and in perfect working order.
▶ Do not open electrical devices. Have defective mains cables or mains plugs
replaced by a qualified person.
▶ Connect electrical devices via a residual-current device.
▶ Avoid contact between the mains cable and the machine modules.
▶ Do not activate electrical devices until they have been mounted on the welding
machine and clean and dry Geberit PE or Geberit Silent‑db20 pipes or fittings
have been clamped.
▶ Have electrical equipment checked according to local regulations.

Risk of injury from inattention and incorrect handling
▶ Fix the welding machine to a flat, solid substructure.
▶ Only operate the welding machine in weather-proofed places.
▶ Only use the welding machine if it is in perfect working order.
▶ Always check all parts of the welding machine for damage before use.
▶ Take the weight of the welding machine into account; use suitable means of
transport when transporting the machine.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the device from incorrect handling
▶ Use the transport case for transport and storage, and store the welding machine in a
dry room.
▶ Service the welding machine regularly and check it is functioning correctly.
▶ Any malfunctions or damage to the welding machine should be rectified by an
authorised repair shop.

Maintenance and repairs only to be carried out by repair shops

Welding machines that are not maintained, or are not professionally maintained, can
cause serious accidents.
• Maintain welding machines according to the regulations. See maintenance chapter.
• Maintenance and repair work may only be performed by authorised repair shops. The
addresses of authorised repair shops can be requested from the Geberit sales
companies.
