e� Place the quick link connector-type (J) within one
of the mooring holes in the lifeline (item 7) following
the inclination of the mounting plane where the
anchor is installed:

7.1 and 7.2).
• Vertical plane tilted 15° max: centre hole (item 7.3),
tighten the connector locking nut (item 8) and lock it
firmly with a spanner.

6.4.3. Installation on post
The following installation procedure refers to Fig. 8,
page 5:
a� Place the axis of the mounting hole (item 2) in the
axis of the threaded hole in the post (item 3).
b. Place the M12 screws (item 4) equipped with its
M12 washer (item 5) into the threaded hole of the
post (item 3).
c. Tighten the M12 attachment screws using the 19
spanner.
d. Align the anchor end in the recommended angular
position depending on the type of line securing
(section 3) and tighten the M12 screws to the
following torque Section 6.3.1.
e� Place quick link connector (J) into the lifeline
docking hole (item 7), tighten the connector locking
nut (item 8) and lock firmly using a spanner.

6.5. Installation of intermediary anchors
6.5.1. General information
Intermediary anchors are fixed to the structural anchors
and posts (ASPI) as defined in Section 6.3.1.
In standard delivery, intermediary anchors are delivered
as described below:
• travspring™ packaging in a polyethylene bag

• travspring™ One: not packaged.
• travsmart: packaged in a bag in a polyethylene bag
pre-assembled anchor polyethylene using the HM12
screw and lock nut.
6.5.2. Fixing to structural anchor
The following installation procedure refers to Figures 9
and 10, pages 5, 6 and 7:
a� Place the axis of the attachment hole (item 2) in the
axis of the hole in the structural anchor (item 3).
b. Into the structural anchor (item 4) depending on the
case, a bolt for attachment to a metallic structure
(figure 9); a screw or a M12 threaded rod (figure 10)
in the case of installing on a concrete plane.
"Important" Put imperatively a stainless washer
M12 (item 5) between the travsmart bracket or the
travspring™ anchor and the screw head or nut of the
structural anchor (item 4).
c. Depending on the type of lifeline, tighten the anchor
as follows:
• travspring™ and travsmart: tighten the M12 structural
anchor with one or two 19 spanners.
• travspring™ One: tighten the intermediary anchor on
the peg type structural anchor using a 19 spanner in
the ring or using two 19 spanners in the case of a
bolted joint.
The following points d), e) and f) of the procedure are
specific to the travsmart lifeline and refer to Figures
11.3 and 11.4, pages 7 and 8:
d. Assemble the intermediate anchor (item 10) on the
bracket (item 1) using the M12 screws (item 9) and
lock nut (item 6), and guide the intermediary anchor
in the recommended angular position for the type of
line securing: (section 3):
• Type 1: For installation on horizontal or sloped plane
of 15° max: 90°.
• Type 2: For installation on vertical mounting plane +/-
5°: 135°.
• Type 3: For installation on mounting plane on
the underside tilted by 15° max: the
recommended angle is 225°, an angle of
180° is also possible if the fall arrest system
is relatively heavy, such as when using an
automatic fall arrest in steel cable automatic
in compliance with EN 360.
"Note": Recommended angles of 135°, 180° and
225° respectively denote a distance of 50 mm, 70 mm
and 50 mm between the axis of the fixing hole (item 2)
and the tube axis (respectively items Ac1, Ac2 and Ac3,
figure 9.5).
e� Engage the 2 lugs (item 12) in the splined face of
the bracket (item 13).
