4.2 Tire installation
Preinstallation preparation:
- Check and remove the dust and sand from the tire, and check whether there is metal, stone and other foreign matters;
- Check whether the tire pressure complies with the value specified;
- Check whether there is any deformation of the rim alignment plane and installation holes;
- Check whether there are foreign matters, and remove the original balance lead in the rim.
Installation mode:
There are three wheel installation methods: forward alignment, backward alignment and flange alignment specifically for large and
medium tire, these methods can be selected according to actual conditions.
1) Forward alignment
Forward alignment is a common alignment method, which is easy
for operation and mainly applicable for common steel rub and
iron hub that features minor deformation. Installation sequence:

2) Backward alignment
In case of large outer deformation of wheel, the backward
alignment can be used to ensure steel rub and main axle
alignment accuracy. The alignment method is applicable to
aluminum hub, especially, those thicker aluminum hubs, and the
measurement precision will be higher. Installation sequence:

3) Alignment via large flange (optional)
The alignment method is applicable to large wheel installation. Installation sequence:
Main axle large flange (fixed on main axle)
Note
Cone selected shall be suitable to the rim center hole, and its direction; otherwise it may cause incorrect
measurement.
