After unpacking, check the contents of the box for
 completeness
 possible transport damage.

Always pay full attention to the splitting blade's
movement.
Do not remove jammed logs with your hands.

Switch off the motor and disconnect the mains
plug before performing cleaning, maintenance
or repair work.
Dispose of the old oil properly (local oil dispos-
al point). The old oil must not be poured into
the ground or drainage system, or mixed with
other waste.
Must be operated by a single person only.
Keep bystanders as well as pets and
domestic animals away (minimum dis-
tance 5 m) from the danger zone.
Hold the work piece when split-
ting with the clamping claw.
Vent the hydraulic system be-
fore putting the log splitter into
operation. (see "Start-up")
